C.S.I R.O. - "The Fire Resistance of Wool"
Greg Richmond
Organic wool has the added comfort of knowing that it has never come in contact chemicals of any sort and is completely natural and safe.
Woolen clothing is renowned for its comfort, resilience, versatility and durability but it is the health benefits of pure wool that make it standout from other natural and man-made fibres.

Quality woolen clothing is both warm in chilly weather and cool when the sun comes out. Its fibers form pockets of air which help draw moisture away from the body and dries very quickly keeping it dry and warm.
Hypoallergenic Qualities
With an ignition temperature 570-600 degrees Celsius wool is far more difficult to ignite than other natural fibres and certainly most man-made fibres use in textile manufacturing. Wool is also a natural fire retardant. When touched to a flame wool will resist burning and will eventually extinguish itself. For this reason woollen clothing is recommended for children's' clothing and in particular nightwear.
Fire resistance
People who suffer from allergies choose wool for its ability to resist mold, bacteria, and mildew which are common causes of allergic reactions. Wool repels dust mites that appear to trigger some forms of asthma. Dust mites need moisture to breed and survive but wool quickly draws moisture away from the body and allows for rapid evaporation creating an inhospitable environment for dust mites.
Why Wool?
So when it comes to selecting garments, quality wool is by far the safest and healthiest for your child.
